1. Add a section where you answer related questions
In any niche there is no shortage of questions that people are discussing and looking for answers. Get in the habit of always doing a quick search for questions every time you work on a new article.
In general, answering common questions on your pages helps on several levels:
- Improve your chances of ranking every page higher (answering questions adds relevant content to your pages)
- Get it featured After, as well as improve your content optimized for voice search
- Improve engagement by addressing popular questions (questions are well known to grab the attention of human beings and make them pause and start looking for an answer)
Additionally, for content creators who provide helpful answers to niche questions, Google has introduced structured markup to help them stand out in search.
To implement the FAQ scheme on your page, all you need to do is answer more than two questions on your page. I suggest doing this in a separate section under each of your articles. It doesn’t take too long, especially if you know the topic. There is a WordPress plugin that allows you to easily implement FAQ markup on your WordPress site.
To find questions to answer, use a combination of the following tools:
1.1 People also ask
Google featured related questions (and answers) in a special search element called “People also ask” for a few years now. These days, they appear for the majority of search queries and give you a good idea of your target audience’s search journeys.
It’s a good idea to spend some time taking note of the questions that rank for your target search query and cover a few in your content.
1.2 Text optimizer
Text Optimizer has a cool functionality which allows you to search for semantically relevant questions for any search query. Text Optimizer gives you an overview of all the possible questions for any topic, allowing you to quickly understand how to structure your content.
Ahrefs (as as well as alternatives) has a separate section where you can see all the search queries formulated as a question. There is also a handy filter that allows you to group these questions by a keyword modifier.

While all of the above tools are built on Google, Quora is your key to seeing real people discussing what they’re really interested in. Visit Quora to see the most popular discussions on your article’s topic, and keep track of any discussion threads you might also want to participate in while your article is live.
Quora is a gold mine of useful data for SEO and exposure.
2. Create and embed videos
Videos are well known for their ability to stimulate engagement in just about any medium, including email marketing and social media.
In fact, videos are considered the future of the social media web. According to Maxwell Hertan of Megaphone Marketing, video is the primary form of content consumed on social media these days. Without video, there is no content marketing.
So why not use the videos more often?
These days, videos are quite easy to create. You no longer need to invest in expensive software or training to start producing video content. You can easily register by sharing some wisdom using zoom or, if you are shy like me, you can just turn your text content into video format using online tools like Invideo.
The advantage of making a habit of creating a video every time you write an article is that you will have engaging content to promote your content on social media.
Social media users don’t like links as much as images and videos, so you’ll get a lot more shares and clicks if you have a great video to help promote your post.
The bonus is that you will also have the option to rank your content in more than just organic results. Videos gain additional search visibility through video carousels that drive additional clicks and brand visibility.
3. Diversify your calls to action into content
I know it’s good to get a lot of readers, but what do you really want them to do on your site? Most articles are written to inform or entertain, but if you’re smart at marketing your blog, you also want those readers to become your customers or subscribers.
Here are some possible actions you should include:
- Share your article to get more clicks
- Subscribe to your newsletter by e-mail
- Come back to the future
